After listening to Marie Kondo's book, 'The Life-changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing,' a couple years ago, my life truly was changed! My main take aways from it were:

1. Do a complete overhaul of all of your things at one time and get rid of everything that doesn't bring you joy. Taking everything out of your closet and piling all your clothes, paperwork, etc. into one place is overwhelming but invigorating once you're finished. Your recycling, trash and donation piles might be through the roof for a while but you'll start feeling accomplished as things go out your door for good.

2. Keep like items in one place. Don't have 15 different junk drawers or reusable shopping bags you shove stuff in and can't even find things when needed. Don't shove papers in various drawers in your house, toss cosmetics all together in 30 different boxes and bags or clothes and shoes in 5 closets. Overall, I was very happy with Plated and would come back to it once I try all the competition and know how they measure up. I have discovered 10 different meal services I'm going to be trying and reviewing: Blue Apron, Chef Day, Green Chef, Hello Fresh, Home Chef, Marley Spoon, Peach Dish, Plated, Purple Carrot and Sun Basket. All have something similar to Plated where you get the cold packed ingredients straight to your door with 3 recipe cards for 2 people for around $10-$12 per meal. Plated has an option to choose between 11 different meals plus you can add 2 different desserts. They all have promotions for your first time trying their service if you look online or at their websites. Plated has a $30 off your first delivery which brought these 3 meals to a total of $42 after tax including delivery.
